App-a-Cab and Hampton Roads Transportation are celebrating their 100,000+ App Orders by serving free lunch on Wednesday, September 23, from 11am – 2pm, in downtown Norfolk at the TCC Plaza (300 Granby St.). A local DJ will provide the soundscape.
App a Cab was launched in the 757 in February 2014. The app allows users to hail a cab without making a phone call, and the taxi knows exactly where to pick-up the passenger.
“It really has exceeded our expectations,” said Frank Azzalina, the business development director at Hampton Roads Transportation. “The market has embraced it.”
